I am an illustrator, artist, mother, and enthusiastic amateur gardener. From an early age, I’ve always had a pencil in my hand; I originally planned to design and manufacture toys, which I studied at the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts in Prague, specializing in Toy Design. However, I soon realized that I enjoyed drawing designs much more, so I decided to continue my studies in Illustration at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art.

After graduation, commissions for illustrations began to arrive, and my childhood dream started to come true. When Vodafone approached me to sketch visuals, prominent Czech newspapers asked me to illustrate an article, and the Emblem Hotel commissioned a five-meter drawing of Prague, it was clear that I would stick with drawing. Another milestone was collaborating with Watson Digital on a campaign for Wes Anderson’s film „The Grand Budapest Hotel.“ In 2013, my friend Lukáš Tomski and I founded the illustration studio Tomski & Polanski. We called ourselves the “four-handed illustrator,” and working as a duo was enjoyable; now we no longer create together in the Prague studio, as time has taken us to different parts of the Czech Republic. In my studio today, I am accompanied by my dachshund, Květa, who often becomes a subject in my personal work.

During our years of collaboration, we had the honor of working with clients such as Nike, Google, Pilsner Urquell, the Czech Softball Association, and many others. Our illustrations have appeared in Czech and European newspapers, magazines, and books by contemporary authors.
